The MYP (Middle Years Program) 7th through 10th grades:

  • Addresses students’ intellectual, social, emotional, and physical well-being holistically.
  • Provides students with opportunities to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need in order to manage complexity, and take responsible action for the future.
  • Ensures breadth and depth of understanding through study in eight subject groups: English Language, Individuals & Societies, Mathematics, Language Acquisition, Science, Fine Arts, Physical Education, and Design.
  • Requires the study of at least two languages to support students in understanding their own culture and those of others.
  • Empowers students to participate in service to the community.
  • Helps to prepare students for further education, the workplace, and a lifetime of learning.

The IB Middle Years Program Personal Project is the student’s culminating passion project which
incorporates decision making and problem solving, as well as creating and reflecting on their
product’s outcomes and learning goals.
