What the MYP Offers

A globally respected framework that builds academic strength, personal character, and readiness for lifelong achievement.

Academic Confidence & Future Readiness

High performance in the MYP Personal Project has been shown to predict higher IB Diploma scores, especially in writing and the Extended Essay, compared to peers who didn’t complete the MYP.

Lifelong Learners & Thinkers

Research interviewing former IB students (ages 20 to 63) reports lasting gains in critical thinking, self-direction, research skills, global mindset, and a commitment to lifelong learning, often influencing career paths and personal values.

University Ready & Career Capable

MYP graduates tend to outperform peers in university readiness indicators, including enrollment in advanced courses, college test proficiency, and GPA, which prepares them for success in higher education and beyond.

Core Pillars of the IB Middle Years Programme

Discover how the MYP empowers students through concept-driven learning, skill development, and real-world projects that foster global awareness and lifelong success.

Concept‑and Context‑Driven Learning

Students build deep understanding by exploring key and related concepts such as identity, systems, change, and perspective. Learning is purposefully connected to Global Contexts like globalization, sustainability, or innovation, helping students see the relevance of their studies in a globalized world.

MYP Projects & Service

In Year 5 (Grade 10), students complete the Personal Project, a self-directed inquiry resulting in a product and reflective report. It builds ATL skills and supports lifelong learning. Earlier years include a Community Project focused on service and collaboration, engaging students in inquiry, action, and reflection with real-world relevance.

Approaches to Teaching and Learning (ATL)

Throughout the MYP, students develop essential skills in communication, research, critical and creative thinking, collaboration, and self‑management. These ATL skills help learners become adaptive, independent thinkers who know how to learn in any context.
